MERMAIDS : A May Sketch Series
MERMAIDS is a 31 day collection of graphite on paper sketches from Mer May 2020 & now 2021. All work is an original exploration of the concept of the mermaid, as interpreted by Mairin-Taj Caya, with emphasis on a personification of the wild ocean, it’s beauty, strength, diversity, and natural imperative for the overall prosperity of all life on Earth. Dive into figurative gesture in elemental atmosphere, celebrating a unique aspect of feminine form, expression, and relationship with deep wilderness. These are meant to be playful, introspective, and sensual concepts immersed in natural environments.
